剧情简介
画家郑板桥（王喜 饰）怀揣着报效国家的远大理想来到了扬州，期望自己能够在此施展抱负，然而现实残酷，等待着他的是不断的挫折和失败。终于，郑板桥如愿以偿进入了官场，却发现其中贪官污吏横流，完全不是他所想象的模样。 在扬州，郑板桥邂逅了名为王一姐（黎姿 饰）的青楼女子，被其可怜的身世所打动，两人坠入了情网，然而这段感情遭到了王一姐之母的反对和阻挠，最终，郑板桥含恨娶了自己并不喜欢的徐氏（陈松伶 饰）为妻。在两人朝夕相处的日子里，善良温柔的徐氏渐渐获得了郑板桥的真心，可是，在一场意外中，徐氏为救郑板桥而死，临终前，她恳求郑板桥同饶五妹（胡杏儿 饰）结为夫妻。
