剧情简介
皇帝还是如往常一样不上朝，龙椅上不见龙颜，文武百官只能望龙椅遥拜，朝中大事就由崔丞相和秦公公代行视事。二皇爷感叹皇帝终日在深宫沈浸酒色，不理朝政，坐视佞臣把持政务。 皇帝在后宫夜夜笙歌，沈湎于酒池肉林中，白莲教主顾允成一心推翻昏君，派出得力弟子钱一本和女儿顾芙蓉行刺狗皇帝。 两人蒙面夜闯寝宫行刺昏庸无能的皇帝，夜里传来皇帝的惊叫…大事不好，出事啦～ 秦公公、崔丞相偷读皇上如有不虞时的遗诏，竟指名要皇上宠幸的爱妃郑贵妃、苗贵妃、及近臣秦公公、崔丞相、刘大学士与张校尉陪葬，刘大学士与张校尉皆为文武忠臣，自然愿意慷慨随伴皇上共赴黄泉。但贪生怕死的皇后，与一直恋栈权位的大太监秦公公、大贪官崔丞相哪肯陪葬，三人商量出一个权宜之计，就是到民间找一个长相跟皇上相似的人进宫，假扮皇上。此举一来他们可免除陪葬厄运，二来又可“挟天子以令诸侯”，控制假皇帝！ 皇宫高墙内有个皇帝躺在冰冷的地下室昏迷著，高墙外的市集内却有个长的和皇帝一模一样的人在活蹦乱跳着。他是何天养，一样的脸孔，却有着天壤之别的人生。 究竟乞丐何天养与皇帝有何关系？在他认识了穷书生李尚文和卖身葬父的江湖女子颜小栗后，会如何展开他们一连串前所未有的冒险旅程…
