剧情简介
辽沈战役中，解放军连长傅子刚直插城中的敌军医院，活捉了正在实施手术的国民党少校军医郑达志。在押送俘虏去往总部的路上，傅子刚突发急性阑尾炎，痛得打滚，郑达志在一个破庙里为傅子刚做了手术，救了他的命。傅因此放松了对郑的看管，想不到郑却趁机逃跑，又辗转回到南京。傅为此受到处分。两年后，重新升为营长的傅子刚奉命接收一个宣布起义的国民党后方医院，想不到院长正是郑达志。原来郑因逐渐认清国民党的无能与腐败，拒绝去往台湾，决心投向光明。更具戏剧性的是当我军组建新的医院时，二人被同时派往医院担任领导职务，并且成了门对门的邻居，由此开始了两人一生的交往。该剧通过两人一生的工作、生活经历，阐述了我们这支革命队伍容纳五湖四海，汇聚四面八方的博大胸怀。
