剧情简介
晚清的佛山南海，土地富饶，却也横行着贪官和权贵，爱恨情愁在这里交织，新与旧的观念在这里碰撞。 主人公康南海（邓超饰）出身封建家庭，自幼习文，知书达礼。天资聪慧的他成长为博览群书、足智多谋的青年才俊。天性豪放、敢作敢为的他被黎民百姓视为神奇英雄，却被贪官污吏恨之入骨。 为了帮朋友潘世安（姜峰 饰）追求金山兰（程莉莎饰），康南海进入嘉礼学堂拜于周真汝门下，而从小受到西方教育的金山兰却对康南海展开了大胆的追求，差点惹得康、潘二人反目成仇。为了躲避金山兰的追求，康南海让自己的婢女苏女（朱梓郡饰）化身男装进入学堂陪读，不料苏女也对他暗许芳心…… 纠缠的爱情、友情碰撞出起伏跌荡的剧情。康南海在几经对感情的失意、得意、痛苦、悲伤之后，逐步走向了一条为图救国救民而奋斗的道路……
