剧情简介
以杨玉环为主人公，紧紧围绕杨玉环的情感起伏、命运转折而展开。故事一开始就要让杨玉环与彭勃产生浪漫的恋情，用适当篇幅表现二人的情深意笃。谢阿蛮作为杨玉环以舞为乐的玩伴，从中穿针引线，力促二人。当得知被选为寿王妃后，杨玉环激烈抗婚，谢阿蛮为二人打抱不平，甘当信使。杨玉环冲动地要以身相许，彭勃理智地退缩了，他不是因为惧怕皇权，而是为了保护自己的爱人，为了爱情永驻。杨玉环无奈与寿王成婚。婚后初期，杨玉环过着与寿王同床异梦的生活，并时常通过谢阿蛮向彭勃倾诉离别之情。寿王的敦厚和百般呵护，久而久之打动了杨玉环，使她有了一种归宿感，并把自己的情感转移、寄托在寿王身上。这段爱情同样生生死死，真挚热烈。这些都有助于加大唐玄宗得到杨玉环的难度，从而展开本剧的情节主线――杨玉环与唐玄宗的爱情(主要参照小说编写)。在表现杨玉环与唐玄宗的爱情时，应注意细致描写杨玉环与唐玄宗对音乐、戏剧爱好和相同感悟，这是他们爱情递进的关键。
