剧情简介
1949年初，平津战役以北平的和平解放圆满落幕，国民党的势力已成强弩之末，颓势立现。而我军乘胜追击，准备对盘踞江南的国民党残余势力发动渡江战役。镇守江南古城临江的城防司令陈怀远（孙淳 饰），是左右局势的一枚重要棋子。在这小小的古城内，情报站和间谍战连番上演。桂系白崇禧派来特工李曼娥（蔡文艳 饰）秘密潜入，时刻拉拢陈怀远；保密局头目毛人凤增派出手下的王牌特工“七月蜂”张弛（樊志起 饰）监视陈怀远，同时牵制桂系的力量。江北方面，中共也接连派出地下党积极开展策反工作。 家国大义之下，爱怨情仇的故事也接连上演……
