剧情简介

这是一部描写清代皇朝历史的古装电剧连续剧，真实再现了中国人饱受列强蹂躏的那段历史，故事情节一波三折，荡气回肠，兼有幽默搞笑、武打及斗智斗勇，是国内近年来难得的一部历史剧。故事发生在清光绪二十六年(公元1900年)，一日甘军巡逻队的一个小头目酒后枪杀了德国公使克林德，洋人以此为由找到了强占中国的借口。八国联军大举入侵中国，慈禧闻风仓皇西逃。李鸿章等受命与入侵者议和，签订了丧权辱国的《辛丑条约》，德国人索赔重金并要求光绪皇帝亲赴德国负罪道歉。慈禧又怒又怕，决定让一位皇族王爷替光绪皇帝赴命出使……
