剧情简介
民国时期，百姓愚昧，迷信怪力邪说。李木墩（来喜 饰）是雾城最好的木匠，精通古籍《鲁班秘术》，相传此书分为上下两册，上册研究木工技法，而下册则是诡谲叵测的邪术秘法。雾城惊现新娘失踪案，死因蹊跷，众人议论纷纷，怀疑乃李木墩利用邪术所为。李木墩为自证清白，和警探杨宗（毛宽仁 饰）、法医苏青云（彭雅琦 饰）彻查此案，发现乃凶手利用“机关术”故弄玄虚。三人默契配合，又接连破获打生桩案、木偶杀人案、车夫案等等，而这些案件的凶手和李木墩的师弟巫咸有着千丝万缕的联系。督军身死，雾城再现连环命案，引起轩然大波。李木墩三人临危受命，和巫咸斗智斗勇，最终让真相大白。他们彰显正义终将战胜愚昧与黑暗，传承并发扬中华传统文化中求真务实、破除迷信的精神内核。
